Fake Bus Scam From Promo Tour!
The MYPOP8TOUR is a tour of eight individual pop artists ranging from 16 years old to 22 year old twin singers who perform at Transworld’s F.Y.E chains for other kids aspiring to be pop stars. In addition to the national tour scheduled with F.Y.E, they also have performances across the country with both Ronald McDonald houses and local children’s hospitals in the different cities they visit.
With the heaviest anticipation to start the tour on Wednesday March 7th, in NJ, the tour members were disappointed to find that the tour buses they needed to travel around on was a scam for the $100,000.00 they saved and paid out to a presumably private bus company. Parents’ Houses were refinanced, pensions were drawn and loans were made for the benefit of their children’s musical endeavors.
It was devastating to all involved to find that all of the bus owner’s contact information had been cancelled and address locations had been changed. Despite all of the heavy hearts of the entire tour, they banded together to make it through the first few dates by means of public transportation and a chartered bus. That expense alone was only enough to make it through to Albany, NY. That will only be their 3rd date on their schedule. Since those dates were close, it made it possible to handle that sort of transportation effort. That will be impossible to maintain when the tour is scheduled to span both coasts soon. However, even with this undeniable set-back, it is clear that these kids will not be deterred in their quest for being musical leaders for their peers and fans.
There is a nationwide investigation into this matter to search for this child, heart-breaking scam artist, Chris Brower. In the interim, the MYPOP8TOUR is scrambling to find a way to gain transportation in order to continue the tour that is scheduled to end on May 26th in Seattle, WA. Their main motivation is getting to perform for kids who can’t make it to F.Y.E’s due to their illness as well as being positive role models to those who are physically able to make it to the mall tour shows.
New performance dates will be added to the tour to give free shows for the public in hopes for a donation to the charity now termed “This Ride’s On Us!” They not only hope to get a tour bus in the pinch of a week’s time, but to also find a way to catch this criminal (Chris Brower) and stop him from being on the run so he will never effect any other children’s musical endeavors. This tour will give even when they have no more to give. It is evident that they will find a way.
