The First Stone Temple Pilots Tour 1998
There was a drought that year no rain anywhere except the stupid cloud that kept following us and pissing down rain in time for every show.I canít recall how many times we would get shocked turning up the f-100ís for more smoke.With all this we of course got the dumbest stage hands known to man.We got the idea to deal with the dumbest ones by posting a daily lead paint count on the prod office door.Made it look all official with diagrams and crap.Then we took a paint can , drew a new label for it with all the crews names on it,attatched a sharpie to the handle and found the dumbest most useless hand and gave him the can.We would then tell him to go find every guy on the crew and hand him the can.At this point we open up the can,take a big sniff of nothing and check are name off the list and send them to the next person.They never had a clue.Lots of fun on that tour.The best hands Navy Seals.Built a 6 sec pre-rig truss in the sand with cables, lifted it up on there shoulders and walked it into place.Amazing.
