R.I.P. DOC WATSON

John Adair asked me to post this for him on Roadie.Net. Doc gigged for over 50 years, and there’s lot’s of road dogs out there who probably had great shows with Doc, and would want to know. Many, many thanks!. Doc Watson, Folk Musician, Dies at 89 www.nytimes.com Mr. Watson, a Grammy-winning flatpicker, was known for playing his acoustic guitar at speeds that could intimidate other musicians.

UK Roadies wanted for TV series

Our friends at Vice TV will start filming another “On the Road” sponsored by Marshall Headphones in the UK between June 26 and July 3.  This series is still celebrating roadies but specifically its about the birth of heavy metal in the UK so we’re particular keen to find people who used to work for Led Zep, Sabbath, Motorhead, Iron Maiden and Judas Priest and are currently based in the UK.
